What it funds
Work that strengthens Ethereum's foundations and enables future builders: infrastructure, developer tools, cryptographic research and ecosystem education. Funded work must be free, open source, non-commercial and designed to create positive-sum outcomes.
What it does not fund
For-profit work. For-profit companies may apply, but the specific grant-funded work has to be open source and accessible to the community.
Amounts
No fixed range. Funding is set by the scope and complexity of the proposal, unless a Wishlist or RFP item states a budget. Payments are milestone-based, agreed with you as part of the grant structure.
How to apply
Apply against a Wishlist or RFP item, setting out how you will address it with clear methodology, timeline and deliverables. You will need to complete identity verification, sign a formal grant letter, and be able to receive and manage ETH payments.
Review timeline
Most applications are reviewed within 3 to 6 weeks, depending on the complexity of the item.
