What is Tokenomics?

Definition

Tokenomics is the design of a token’s supply, distribution, and incentives: how many exist, who receives them, on what schedule, and what holders can actually do with them.

In practice

The details decide whether a network aligns its participants or quietly transfers value from later buyers to insiders. Read the allocation split, the vesting cliffs, the emission curve, and whether the token captures any real fee. Tokenomics design is now a distinct role on many teams.
