Details

Curve is an AMM for assets that should trade close to one another. Stableswap pools use a pricing curve that stays flat near parity, so large swaps between stablecoins or between an asset and its staked version move the price very little.

On-chain layout

Pools are deployed by per-type factories (Stableswap, Twocrypto, Tricrypto).
The gauge controller decides how CRV emissions are split between pools; the minter issues them.
CRV is the governance and emissions token, listed separately from the AMM contracts.
